DISEC

Wars have been fought on many fronts throughout history, and with the increased accessibility of space, the sky may become a new one. The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), among the oldest committees of the United Nations, is focused on the removal of weapons and the mitigation of international wars. But how can, or should, the risk of the stars themselves be addressed? Delegates must discuss pressing themes of scientific and technological advancement, the ethics of war, and ownership and control of space to form relevant and powerful solutions. With compromise, negotiation, and fierce debate, DISEC is a committee recommended for delegates at all experience levels.
