Guntas, currently a year 1 IBDP student at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, is honored to serve as the Director General for AbbyMUN 2024. AbbyMUN 2023 being her first ever MUN conference, Guntas was captivated by the expressive nature of a MUN committee’s debate. From defending PFUDOR with her life as the Delegate of Quackraine in UNESCO to addressing the rise of militants in DISEC, discussions in MUN are something that cannot be recreated elsewhere! This fascination has been instrumental in honing her public speaking skills, and sustaining her love for MUN. Outside of the world of diplomacy, Guntas can be found daydreaming of bubble tea or playing jazz tunes on her guitar—her two favorite escapes from the demands of the IBDP. Guntas hopes to make AbbyMUN 2024 a memorable iteration filled with fruitful debate for all!
